formation one - East River Road

Garden of Iron Mirrors, 2007, taconite rock and mirror polished stainless steel, 6'x30'x30 and 6'x20'x30' gross weight 70 tons (two formations -- formation one is pictured), Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis, MN, permanent public commission.

Site appropriate sculptural components are positioned to the points of the compass on the east bank of the Mississippi River, two taconite sculptures have polished stone surfaces and two taconite sculptures have mirror polished stainless steel surfaces reflecting the viewer, the riverscape, and the city skyline. In the lower formation, two taconite boulders with reflectors face skyward. Additionally, there is an unpolished, unworked taconite boulder.
