Within the River to Infinity installation, the panels first appear to be a minimalist sparkling black/dark-blue painting, as one’s eyes adjust, the viewer sees the text -- 2012 AD and 7137 AD (the sixth era of the Mayan calendar), which appears to float within the clear depth of the surface.
